TREE PRUNING
Pruning a tree is an art that takes practice and knowledge of individual species and there growth patterns. Experience has taught us that certain trees react in different ways.
CROWN THINNING
When thinning the crown of a tree one has to be sensitive to the genus and species as each tree will react in different way according to how and when it is pruned.
CROWN REDUCTION
The process where in effect the entire foliated area of the tree is reduced in size, creating a smaller crown. This will include reducing all branches from the outside inwards.
SHAPING OF SMALL TREES
Shaping of small trees is carried out on young newly planted trees, small ornamental trees, small street trees, trees under service lines.
DEADWOODING
The process of removing dead and dying branches from the tree whether in the crown or on the main stem of the tree. Canopy Tree can remove unwanted deadwood.
BRANCH REMOVAL
The process carried out by removing/pruning a select branch or branches within the crown of the tree, without interfering or damaging other tree parts in the process.
CROWN LIFTING
Crown lifting is done to lift the lower branches of a tree, thus increasing the distance between ground level and the first branch, usually for clearance of people & vehicles.
SEED & FRUIT REMOVAL
Some trees and palms have fruit that is required to be removed at least annually to help prevent fruit drop which can cause a hazard.
